2013 meeting

Dutifully and on time we met yet again in 2013, on August 24. And enjoyed lunch afterwards at treasurer Mary Rounsavall’s beach cottage. One of the major items discussed was the need for fence posts replacements. Under the direction of Peter Vermilya, a work party for March or April 2014 is being planned. 2012 Assembly of the Living

The following members of the General Andrew Ward Cemetery Association convened for the Annual Meeting at the General Andrew Ward Cemetery in Guilford, Connecticut on July 28, 2012, 11:00 a.m.: Patty Battles, Roxana Day, Katie Haddock, Anne Moore, Sharon Olson, Elizabeth Rounsavall, Mary Rounsavall, Peggy Vermilya, and Peter Vermilya. Minutes of the previous year’s meeting were approved, and wording of the by-laws was discussed. Members of the General Andrew Ward Cemetery Association met today at the site to review recently rewritten bylaws, elect directors, and establish committees to do research and communicate to the wider membership the basics we all need to know for planning future interments and complying with local ordinances. The meeting continued after lunch at Mary Rounsavall’s summer cottage. Newly-elected officers are: Peter Vermilya (President), Timothy Harwood (V-P), Mary Rounsavall (Secretary-Treasurer), Katie Haddock, Anne Moore and Sharon Olson (directors at-large).
